Childbirth Essentials Course
This course will arm you with in-depth knowledge and evidence-based information of the basics of childbirth. We will discuss the different stages of labor and what to focus on in each phase so that you feel prepared and confident when your time comes. Learn informed decision making, labor positions, and so much more!

Note: This course is taught in two separate 2.5 hour sessions. You have the option of an in person group course, in person private course or virtual private course.

This course emphasizes intuitive birthing and supports the physiologic nature of birth. With an evidence-based approach, this course will prepare you for a low/no intervention birth in any setting. However, we will also fully cover common interventions and pharmacologic pain relief options so that you feel prepared for however your birth unfolds.
We are passionate in our belief that learning about these things ahead of time helps prevent birth trauma.

5-Week Holistic Prep for Childbirth Course

Learn about what options you have in your birth space so that you feel informed and prepared for however birth unfolds
Understand the different stages of labor and what to do for each, including: coping techniques, comfort measures, and position changes
Discuss common interventions that may be offered and how to do a risk/benefit analysis of common interventions
Map out a personalized birth plan so that you are best prepared to advocate for yourself
Review and practice various labor positions and coping techniques
Get tips on navigating your third trimester, things that may come up with your provider during this time, and how to use this time to prepare mentally and physically for your birth and postpartum
Normalize the physiologic birth process for both the birthing person and their partners so that they feel comfortable and prepared and know what to expect
Teach your birth partner how to be an integral support person by learning to identify and respond to the birthing person’s needs and tools to help maintain an environment conducive to the unfolding of the birth process
Share what the first few hours and several days postpartum will look like wherever you give birth, what is beneficial to do, and what options you have during this time

Lactation Preparation Course
This course will help you feel informed and empowered on your journey with lactation! We want to help you gain confidence as you enter this new journey by teaching you about human milk and its composition, the physiology of lactation and feeding, how to troubleshoot common challenges, and more!
